Privacy policy
Last updated 5 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data AI Focus ("we") collects and why. The data controller is the operator of aifocus.tech.
Reading the site
You can read AI Focus without an account. Public pages set no cookies and we don't use advertising or cross-site tracking. Your browser stores your light/dark preference, and a note of which articles you've opened so we count each view once, in local storage on your device. This is never sent to us except as an anonymous view count.
Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for up to 30 days for security and to keep the site running. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we store your email address, when you subscribed and when you confirmed. We use it only to send the AI Focus briefing. We ask you to confirm by email before sending anything, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We keep your address until you unsubscribe, then delete it within 30 days.
Sharing
We don't sell your data. We use service providers to host the site and to send email. They process data only on our instructions. When we use AI tools to help draft articles, we send them public news material only, never readers' personal data.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, or to correct, delete or restrict it, and you can object to processing. Contact [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
